Tiffany Haddish is currently under fire and receiving widespread backlash from social media users after sharing a post about the new developments in Jonathan Majors‘ legal troubles.
Recommended VideosAs previously reported, Majors was accused of physically assaulting his girlfriend in Manhattan following an argument nearly a month ago. At the time, the actor was arrested and faced assault and harassment charges. Majors, who maintains his innocence, has since been released and is also dealing with negative repercussions as he awaits his May 8 court date.
This list includes the 33-year-old being dropped by his talent management, various upcoming projects, brand deals, and more alleged victims stepping forward. On April 20, Major’s lawyer released new footage of the woman accusing the Creed III star of assaulting her as a form of evidence.
In the video, the alleged woman is seen using the arm she accused Majors of injuring to get an item at the club. In addition to the clip, Page Six also obtained other footage, including a body cam video of the alleged woman describing the events from that night. As the news circulated online, Haddish took to her Twitter page and uploaded a post about the video that showcases Majors’ accuser “unhurt” and “clubbing.”
Immediately after Haddish’s tweet, many people criticized the Girls’ Trip star for speaking on a sensitive situation by bringing up her problematic past.
One individual recalled when Haddish and her friends cyberbullied a doctor for attempting to share information about COVID-19.
Another Twitter user claimed that although they are for Haddish receiving the scrutiny, the one thing they can’t stand behind is others sharing the “weird” skit she did with Aries Spears that involved children.
A third person expressed they weren’t surprised that Haddish would post that tweet about Majors because the comedian created a skit mocking Rihanna’s abuse from Chris Brown.
Another user went so far as to mention that they love seeing the slander that Haddish is getting.
At this time, Haddish has since deleted the tweet and hasn’t addressed the backlash.
